The DR Series is designed to produce, in the most economical and eco-friendly way,
pipes and fittings in diameters ranging from DN/ID 300 mm to DN/ID 4000 mm and in
lengths from 1m up to 6 m and on special request even longer. The pipes are designed
for working pressure up to 16 bar. The pipe material is a compound of polyethylene,
fibres and bonding material.
The material mixture has an MRS value of 20 N/mm2, compared to pure PE 80 with an MRS value of 8 N/mm2 and PE 100 with
an MRS of 10 N/mm2. The MRS value stands in linear relation to the pipe wall thickness. This signifies that by using the abovementioned
mixture the wall thickness can be reduced by approx. 48 % compared to pure PE 100 and about 55 % compared to
PE 80 supposing the same pressure resistance.
The main components are the main single screw extruder for the virgin polythelyne
and the co-rotating twin screw extruder with integrated single screw extruder
to process the compound materials, with a nominal output of 1000 kg/h.
With this additional equipment it is possible to manufacture structured wall
pipes according to DIN 16961 and DIN EN 13476.
These low weight pipes are mainly suitable for the non- or low working pressure
application like drainage and sewage systems including all kinds of fittings like
bends, manholes, branches etc.
